Jessica Crossland, MA, LPC
Get to know me, I’m glad you’re here.
Let’s be real — you’re not here for a list of degrees. You want to know if I get it, if I’m someone you can actually talk to, and if I can help. I’ll give you the credentials at the end, but let’s start with who I am as a therapist.
I’m the kind of therapist who shows up — fully, humanly, and without a script. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a performance. I ask real questions. I challenge patterns. I tell the truth with kindness. And I genuinely care about what’s going on in your world — not just what you present on the surface.
What drew me to this work isn’t just what I studied — it’s what I’ve lived through. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like no one’s really listening. I’ve done the inner work and walked through some dark chapters of my own. That doesn’t mean I’ll turn our sessions into my story, but it does mean I’m not guessing at what healing takes — I know firsthand how hard and how possible it is.
I work best with people who are ready for change — not because they’ve figured everything out, but because they’re tired of pretending they have to. You don’t have to be polished, positive, or “doing okay” in here. You get to be exactly where you are.
We’ll get into the messy stuff. We’ll probably laugh. You might cry. I won’t flinch if you bring up things like shame, sexuality, body image, anger, resentment, or the weird intrusive thoughts you think no one else has. I’ve heard it all, and nothing shocks me.
And yes — I do know what I’m doing. This work means the world to me, and I take it seriously. Not just because it’s my job, but because I’ve been on the other side of the couch, wondering if someone would finally see me and actually help.
